A useful first skill connects to something you want to make or understand. If you enjoy visual communication, explore graphic design or UI/UX. If you like explaining ideas through movement and sound, try video editing. If you enjoy understanding how things work, web or software foundations may be a good starting point.
Choose one introductory unit and finish its small exercise before adding another subject. You are testing your interest and building a learning habit, not committing to a lifelong specialism.
After the unit, write down what you made, what confused you and one question you can now ask more clearly. Use that evidence to decide your next step.
